I’ve been thinking about getting into paid traffic and sales funnels. I keep running into ClickFunnels and Russel Brunson.
It seems it’s one of the most profitable online businesses around. I’m just not sure how sustainable the business model is as everyone seem to be using ClickFunnels to market Clickfunnels.
I know the information they teach can be used to increase any sales but apparently they have a very profitable affiliate plan. I’m just afraid the market will get saturated when everyone’s doing it and eventually no one will buy it anymore because there’s no actual value added to the marketplace.
That said, I’m seriously considering getting in on the action while it lasts. I take it you would recommend the 30 day challenge?
Hi IHW. Up until June of 2019, pretty much every Clickfunnels affiliate was pushing Clickfunnels as a passive income business.
Russell Brunson got tired of this as Clickfunnels was built as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) tool for business owners and not as an affiliate marketing/passive marketing opportunity.
Now any affiliate promoting the tool that way gets kicked out of the affiliate program for good.
Clickfunnels was designed for any kind of business to use, to make sales funnels that attract prospects and turn them into paying customers.
There’s something just under 100,000 customers, as far as I’m aware.
Compare that to the total number of businesses that are out there – some already online, some looking to get online but don’t know how.
There’s still a lot of room for expansion where its client base is concerned.
One of the major drawbacks of Clickfunnels is its price. It’s $97/month for the basic plan and $297/month for the “everything” plan.
Right now, there’s a new funnel/page builder tool in Beta testing called GroovePages. It’s available for a single $497 fee during this phase. All future upgrades are free and you get unlimited everything (unlike Clickfunnels’ Basic plan).
After it comes out of Beta, it will move to monthly pricing, apparently at $99/mth for new customers.
If budget is a problem, then GroovePages may be worth considering.
Both Clickfunnels and GroovePages can be expected to evolve over the years as things change in the online landscape.
No affiliate plan is successful if you’re not good at driving traffic to its offers. Same with Clickfunnels.
Up until June last year, Clickfunnels offered all affiliates a 40% commission on sales – there are other products in the affiliate back-office that you can promote, as well as Clickfunnels itself.
After June 2019, and changes with the affiliate program, new affiliates get a 30% commission on sales. If they get 40 people signed up to Clickfunnels, then their commissions are boosted to 40%.
The GroovePages affiliate program offers a flat 40% commission but doesn’t have ancillary products you can promote.
I won’t deny that there’s some stiff competition out there where promoting Clickfunnels is concerned.
Unless you’re a successful affiliate marketer, it pays to find a mentor and buy a course that teaches you marketing skills.
You have to up your game or be very good at reaching the right people (business owners rather than affiliate marketers) to make those sales.
That said, I don’t think sales funnels are a faddy market – a here today, gone tomorrow market.
Sales funnels have been around for decades. But they’ve evolved to fit into a digital, online world and tools like Clickfunnels make it easy for business owners to create their own funnels rather than outsourcing the work to some other company.
These tools have expanded the potential number of clients who can make use of them.
If you’re planning on building sales funnels yourself, then yes, I do recommend doing the One Funnel Away Challenge. (If you go through that link, you’ll get my $8,000 bonus package).
It gives a great grounding in the sales funnel process and introduces you to Clickfunnels.
But you don’t have to use Clickfunnels to build your funnels.
You can use other, less expensive (although less feature-rich) services or WordPress plugins to do the job (see this post).
Joining the Clickfunnels affiliate program is free, so you’ve nothing to lose in doing that and promoting the service on your sites.
